After releasing “Aces Down” , G. J. Lingus wanted to release a vocal album of original songs – a mix of blues, faith, and love songs.   “Riding Through The Blues” is a “Cowboy Blues” album about riding through the "valleys" of life.

"Hanging Around" is a compilation of gritty electric blues guitar songs, a smooth jazz type blues guitar song, and even a "Cowboy Blues" surf type song. Alternate tuning acoustic songs are also included with some tunings G. J. Lingus has come up with that also include slide guitar. "Last Bid" and "Riding Through The Blues" from the "Riding Through The Blues" album are released from a second take on "Hanging Around". All true to the "Cowboy Blues" tradition of G. J. Lingus blending Blues, Rock & Roll, and Country together.
